August 2014

We celebrated Michael's birthday. Then it was time for school to begin! We did our supply shopping and had Open House where we met Kai's teacher and got a little bit of a feel for the school. We did a test ride of the bus route. Kai was so excited about getting to ride the bus to and from school. Tate was 12 weeks old the day Kai started 1st grade.

Little helper. We are trying to decide at what age Tate will catch up with Penelope...

He's ready to go!

12 weeks old

Happy after his first day! What a blessing.
That night, Kai finally lost his front tooth that had been hanging on for a while. We have visited several churches but not found one that just felt like home yet. We met some new friends and celebrated Penelope's 2nd birthday! The company Michael is working for celebrated their 10th anniversary and we celebrated Penelope in conjunction with their bowling party. Kids birthdays away from family are very different! We enjoy technology and how it allows us to still see family even when we don't get to actually see them.

Happy Birthday Penelope!

I'm TWO!!

We all made it in a picture, yay!

Running thru the squares downtown after church

Sweet girl loves that thumb and LaLa

Light up princess shoes for her birthday, pretty Sofia dress, bathing her baby in Tate's tub

We tried a trial class of karate for Kai again but he still didn't like it. We had our first visitors! The Steeles came to see us from Memphis and we had fun doing some exploring with them.

Lost another tooth. He was in Sunday School and all they could find to hold it was an empty TicTac box.

Visitors!

Beautiful sunset after dinner with the Steeles

We got signed up for soccer at the YMCA, but the closest one that had openings was the one on Tybee Island, about a 15 minute drive. Not a bad deal to go to the beach several times a week. I got connected to the local MOPS group. We went to the pool at our apartments for the first time.

Playing with her babies

Rain boots, grocery shopping, busy lady

A rare occasion where he fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep when I brought him back inside

Ready to go to MOPS!

Enjoying my days with these two

We feel like we are finding our groove and life sure is busy!
