Catching up - November

Another busy month. Here comes the November wrap up…

I went and had lunch with Kai for the first time at school. He was so excited.

Penelope had her 15 month checkup…she made it to the 3rd percentile! Officially back on the growth chart so we don't have to go have her weighed every month anymore and she can switch over to whole milk! Woohoo! 18 lb, 6 oz. Still petite, but so grateful to be on the chart.

I had my first appointment to see how baby was growing. Everything looking good!

Gram, my mom's mom, took a turn for the worse and the kids and I were able to ride over with mom and dad for a last visit before the Lord called her home the same week. We were able to spend a long weekend in Athens all together for her funeral. It was nice family time and so bittersweet that she wasn't with us. Grateful for her suffering to have ended, but sad I don't get to hear her voice or see how she stares at the kids so lovingly as if her heart would burst anymore. She was a special lady.

We also said goodbye to our dogs, Sadie and Lilly. No longer able to provide for them in the ways they needed, it was best for all but oh so hard.

Kai had a Thanksgiving Play and Grandpals Day at school and all four of his grandparents were there to make him feel so so special. Having family close is such a sweet thing for us and the kids.

For the Thanksgiving break, my brother and his family were here and we had fun fun fun! I don't have tons of pictures of that, but just because we were so busy playing and soaking up cousin time.

And here's the monthly picture recap!

Kai wrote his name with his cars. =)
Penelope finally crashed after a whole day of hanging out in the hospital visiting with Gram.
Early breakfast in the hotel in Athens, GA with my girl every morning while we were there for my grandmother's funeral. She tried to make friends with everyone that sat near us or walked past.
Kids begin silly in our hotel room with couch pillows.
The best family shot we got at the funeral home. The kids were troopers, but were all pretty tired at this point.
With our little turkey at his Thanksgiving program at school.
I can rarely get her to keep a headband or bow in, but this one stayed in a few minutes and she kept laughing at herself.
Cuties before church one Sunday
Littlest cousins enjoying their spaghetti at Nonie's!
Playing outside in the cold, my little man.
And little sis that wants to do everything big brother does.
Big cousins at the park.
