Ok, so an update on the last month of our lives!
Hunting season arrives with Thanksgiving every year in our household, so Michael has made sure to take advantage of that. Especially with starting a new job, he got in as much time in the woods as possible! Kai wants to be just like his daddy and likes wearing his camo on Saturdays.

So Michael got the job offer on the Monday after Thanksgiving and we were (still are) ecstatic. I began immediately searching for child care. What an impossible task! With a start date of Dec. 14th we had exactly two weeks to find a place for Kai to go. After much web searching and calling and visiting, we found the perfect spot. A wise person told me to not worry about it and that the perfect place God had for Kai would open up for us and it totally did. (Thank you HB.) With the holidays and me having some time off we decided to wait and start him in day care until the 4th of January. We are so excited about this new venture and really believe he will thrive. We had celebratory dinners with both of our parents after getting the job news and then our mom's returned the favor by sharing babysitting duties the week and a half before Christmas while Michael and I were both at work. THANK YOU Nana and Nonie!
We had a Christmas party with our small group which was a lot of fun. Three years ago there was one child and now there are...11? Something like that. So it is pretty chaotic when we all get together, but so much fun too! Michael is really enjoying his new job and I continue to just be so thankful for both of our jobs. We are looking forward to some of the perks his job will offer down the road. And do hope to grow our little family when the time is right.
Christmas week coming in another post...
