Christmas 2009

Last week was very busy!

Saturday night (19th) we went to my parents' house and played games until way too late! We also got to open one of our Christmas presents, a membership to the zoo. Very exciting. Something we looked forward to, but thought it would be too early last year for Kai to really enjoy it.

Monday night I went with my mom to her annual neighborhood ladies ornament swap. So much fun and a nice night out for me.

Tuesday night we went to Zoolight Safari (with our new zoo passes) and enjoyed the lights, music, and the petting zoo before getting Kai home for bed.

Having more fun than I could have imagined playing in my gloves while getting ready to go.

All about waving and saying hello to the animals.

Obviously interested in things other than the camera :)

Wednesday night was Christmas at Nonie and Dagan's (Baugher's).

Getting pretty good at feeding himself with utensils.

Stocking goodies!

Digging in to one of his presents.

One of my favorite pictures - enjoying one of Daddy's new toys for the Wii.

Thursday was my first day off work and Christmas with the Armstrong family.

Still not wanting to let go of daddy's new gun.

Brooks was so sweet reading the Christmas story before dinner and Kai was very interested in what he was doing.

He was not however interested in having his picture taken with Lillie.

Riding on his dinosaur from the Barnetts.

Opening a present with daddy.

Playing the piano with Lillie.

All the cousins before time for bed.

Friday morning we got up very early and hopped in the car for a day trip to visit with my mom's family in GA.

Saturday was back to the woods for Michael and a relaxing day for Kai and I breaking in the new toys. He got more toys than we even have room for! We still need to pack up some of his "old" toys so that our living room doesn't turn into a disaster area every morning when he unpacks the toy box. Saturday night Kai also got to open his last Christmas present which was from his uncle Woody, aunt Dana, and cousins Arden, Esther, and Chloe. He loves his Mr. Potato Head!

Yesterday we enjoyed a visit and lunch with an old high school friend of mine and then last night we left Kai with my parents and went out to eat for our 6th Anniversary. WHEW!

Michael had to head back to work today and Kai and I had a lazy day at home with a fun cookie play date with some great friends this afternoon. (I totally should have brought our camara! Sarah, if you got any good ones, please send them to me!)

A belated public "Happy Anniversary" to Woody and Dana and Merry Christmas to everyone!

Okay, so I must confess that reading these posts made me homesick for B'ham and being close to ya'll!! Kai looks ADORABLE in his Christmas outfit...and in all the pics. I think he's already grown a ton since we saw him in Nov.! Looks like ya'll had a fun month... I'm glad he likes his Mr. potato head! And thanks for the shout out for our anniv.! :)
