DISNEY!! - Day 2

Day Two!! (Saturday)

We started this day EARLY. Reservations at Chef Mickey's. We drove to the Contemporary Resort, got checked in and got our food. Yummy. While we were eating we were visited by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. Fun to get to see so many characters, but not the great photo ops you get when you wait in line at the parks. 

After breakfast most of us rode the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom. 

(Michael and Aunt Leigh took our cars back to our resort and then met up with us at the park.) We got to the gate  just as the park was opening for the day and got to see a little show out front. We couldn't see all that well, but they do everything over the top at Disney, that's for sure. Mad dash to Space Mountain was the task first thing. Penelope and Tate and I were going to wait while the others rode but she wanted nothing of sitting there when there are so many fun things to do! So I put on my brave mom vest, parked the stroller and headed over to Buzz with the two of them. They did awesome and had more fun that I really expected them to. We took a quick ride on the People Mover while we waited on Aunt Leigh and Michael to rejoin us. We all did It's a Small World together. Some of us went to a little 3D show (which P and T did NOT like) while the others went to Splash Mountain. My kids adored having time with their cousins. Such great memories. We did the teacups and then broke off to go get some naps! After some amazing rest, we headed to Animal Kingdom in the late afternoon. A group of us decided to wait and ride Mt. Everest. So fun! Kai was so brave to ride this one when none of his cousins were up for it, but he was so terrified and kept his eyes closed the entire ride. Next was another wait for Primeval Whirl which was so much fun. The little kids stayed occupied with snacks and Nanna and Aunt Leigh. 

We got out our glow sticks as it started getting dark and headed to find some dinner. After that we did the Dinosaur ride which scared Kai again and we decided we'd done enough for the day and headed on back to our room. Another late night and another early morning to come. We were soaking up every second of this amazing vacation!
