Kai catch up

Sunday, the 19th, we finally took part in a dedication service for Kai at our church. (This was the third time we'd scheduled it.) Next time around, whenever that may be, we will definitely go for the first available date. Kai wanted to talk and walk around and play which is not exactly conducive to sitting in a church and trying to listen to someone talking. Brook Hills does child dedication services separate from the regular worship services and they do 3 or 4 a year. So there were many children being dedicated in the same service. We are so grateful to the family that were able to be there and overwhelmed with the love our entire family has for our sweet boy. This was a special time for us to commit in front of those present that we will seek God's guidance as we raise Kai. May HE receive the glory for anything good that is accomplished through us.
Kai having snacks to keep him still towards the end of the dedication service. He's signing
"more".

The best we did at trying to get a picture of the Armstrong girls and Kai outside after the
service.

(The new picture at the top of the blog page is also from the dedication. Thought it'd be nice to put a family shot up there for once instead of just Kai.)

Kai is also now 14 months old! His walking is getting much steadier and sometimes he even tries to run. He babbles a lot and is saying some words, but not on command, only when he feels like it. He does say MaMa, DaDa, Ball, Bye Bye and still Good Girls pretty regularly. Sometimes it sounds like he says Yes and Thank You and Dog. And he has made attempts at D.D. and Dagan (our dads). He finally got the sign language for More down pretty good and he will blow you a kiss if you are extra special. He makes sounds for a lion, duck, dog, elephant,
and clock. Michael says he said Sadie today too. It really seems like something new every day almost. He eats like a champ and there are few things he will not gobble up if put in front of him...actually can't think of anything right now. To follow is a few pictures from a visit to Aldridge Gardens this past Sunday. It was beautiful and I think Michael got some great shots of Kai too.

I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by and that this was our baby only a short year ago!
