Playin in the pool

So it has been unbelievably hot. Even so hot we haven't gotten Kai's pool out much. But last week we did manage to get it set up at my parent's house to let Kai take his first real swim. He had begun last week splashing more in the bathtub and I thought he would love the little pool. It took him a little bit to warm up to it but then it was hard to get him out. He splashed and splashed and poured water on himself and had a blast. I'm imagining he would really enjoy being in a big pool with us, but not sure when we'll have that opportunity.

He walks everywhere now, rarely crawling. If he does crawl, it is only to get to something he can pull up on so he can walk. We had a really fun Father's Day this year with a nice meal out just the three of us on Sunday, Monday night spent at the Armstrong's, Thursday night celebrating my dad's parents with dinner at mom and dad's house and then last night we were finally able to fulfill our gift to my dad, dinner at Big Bob Gibson's BBQ in Decatur, AL (about and hour and a half north of B'ham). If you love barbeque, you've got to make that trip, wow.
