Last Monday was Kai's official birthday even though his party was Sunday night. The three of us met at the mall for lunch together which was so nice to spend some time with Kai on his special day. I took off work a little early that afternoon so that we could make a trip to the Botanical Gardens. It was such a nice afternoon to be outside and just enjoy each others' company in quiet celebration of our little man. Here are a couple of my favorite pics.
Wednesday was Kai's 12 month doctor appointment and here are our newest stats:
21 lbs 8 oz (25-50%)
29 in long (25-50%)
As of yesterday, we are off the bottle, off of formula (YAY!!), and off of baby food. Kai is doing great and eats well most of the time. He is walking more just the past couple of days which is keeping us on our toes!
The Baugher 3s were here visiting last week too and Kai got to play with his cousins Arden and Esther. I had a great time watching them play and enjoy each other. Friday we traveled to Nashville for the weekend for my cousin Will's wedding. It was fun to get away and get to be with all of my family for the celebration. Hotel stay with Kai is not the easiest thing in the world, but it wasn't too bad either. We learned that it would go better if we ask for a suite next time we travel!
