6 months!

Our girl is half a year old today. Impossible.

Kai being silly in mommy's glasses
Eating her hands
You want me to swallow that lumpy stuff?
Penelope is now very good at flipping onto her stomach from her back....but she doesn't like it once she gets there and has some trouble going back sometimes. She sleeps on her side or stomach usually now. The first time I went in to get her and she was unexpectedly on her stomach was about two weeks ago. That was about the time she started sitting for a few seconds by herself. Now she can sit for several minutes by herself without falling over, if you put her in a balanced sitting position. Michael saw her pull her knees under her while on her tummy the other day too.

Freckles
A big smile for brother
Proud of herself for sitting all alone
Buddies
When she is sitting in your lap she cannot sit still. She bounces and rocks and you just know she wants to get down and take off. We started cereal last week. She's still deciding whether she likes it or not.

We are trying to rearrange our wake cycles too to organize her naps better. She's still taking 4 naps at the moment, but they have become shorter and whinier this week so I realized we probably needed to cut at least one of them so she'll sleep better during the others.

Still expecting teeth to show up anytime and hoping she will realize that eating is a good thing and start packing on some pounds. She has her check-up this week so we will see how she's doing. Everybody comments on how tiny she is. That's fine, I just want to know she's healthy!

Kai loves his little sister. He likes that she will grab a toy from him now and she will laugh and talk to him in addition to the smiles. He's really enjoying school still too. Every morning at breakfast we have to answer the question on what we are doing that day. He's usually excited whether it is school or church or staying home. What an easy going guy. He's not lost his passionate side though when things don't go his way. ;-)

We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day outside today as a family and getting some projects done around the house too. Ahhhh. I'm so grateful for my precious family.
